Paul Lomax Stewart, age 76, of Tuscumbia, died Wednesday, May 21, 2014. Visitation will be Friday 1-3 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. His funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Brother Guy Estave officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Stewart was a lifelong resident of Colbert County and served in the National Guard. He was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his mother, Estelle Johnson and grandparents, Martin and Emma Johnson.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Doris Boatwright Stewart; son, Richard Stewart; daughters, LaDonna Stell (David), Stacey Wilson (Wally); grandchildren, Wesley Stell, Micheal Stewart, Ben Stell (Megan), Nic Stell, Justin Gilstrap; step grandchildren, Walter Wilson Jr., Cindy Tarjeft, Tina Wilson, Robert Wilson and seven step great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and sons-in-law.
