Paul Joseph Lettieri passed away December 07, 2016 in his home, just as he had wanted, in his wife’s arms.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, a sister and three sons. Paul was born June 23 1929, and raised in Buffalo NY. He joined the Air Force in 1952 and loved his career as airport base operator then air traffic controller. After his service he continued to be an air traffic controller in NY and Washington, DC. Settling in Northern VA he raised his family and had a 40+ year career in real estate. He was one of the first members of The Million Dollar Sales Club. He was known and loved for his cooking, especially his chocolate sheet cake. In 1999 he and his wife, Kathy, moved to Huntsville, Al, where he was a volunteer civil court mediator and a domestic violence first responder with the police department and still the favorite cook of all!
He is survived by his wife, Dr. Kathyrn Turner Lettieri, sons; Donny Sisler (Gayle), Nelson Sisler, John Lettieri (Mary Jill) of NC, daughters; Kathy Price (Speedy) of NC, Debbie McCann (Tony) of VA, Shelly Draper (Terry) of WV, and Seana Dean (Tom) of VA, 10 grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A military ceremony and celebration of life gathering will held in the Lettieri home on Sunday, December 11, 2016, at 2:30 p.m. All are welcome.
