Paul G. Dyar, age 86 of Florence, AL, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019. A private service will be held at a later date.
Paul was a native of Hamilton, AL, and retired as a realtor. He was a Veteran of the Alabama National Guard serving during the Korean Conflict. Paul achieved success as a student athlete with UNA formerly known as FSTC. He was known as Coach Dyar from the years that he coached high school athletics for Lauderdale County and Florence City Boards of Education. He also loved golf and the Crimson Tide.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Spurgeon and Beulah Dyar; 2 daughters, Paula and Tracye Dyar; 3 brothers; and 6 sisters.
Paul is survived by his daughter, Patricia Dyar; brother, Hal Dyar; and grandson, Scott Charles Dyar.
