Paul Edward Black – Obituary

Paul Edward Black age 73 of Athens, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Black was born February 14, 1940 in Kentucky to Raymond Lester Black and Rosalie Griffin Black.

Services for Mr. Black are Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens with Bro. Bill Irby officiating.

He was a member of West Hobbs Street Church of Christ. For many years he worked for A&P, Hometown and finally retiring at L&S Supermarket.

He is survived by his daughter, Terri Black; most beloved grandson, Matthew Riley Black; brother, Donnie “Bruno” Black and wife Ann.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Wendolyn Webb Black; sons, Paul Michael Black and Paul Mark Black; parents, Raymond and Rosalie Black; brother, Lester Black.

Pallbearers are Billy McNatt, Billy McMullins, Billy Black, Billy Smith, Jeff Black, Matthew Black and Wayne Baucom. Honorary pallbearers are Dick Smith, Darryl Lee, Tommy Black, Charlie Hobson, Dennis Black, L.E. Webb, Leon Hill, Lee Gordon, Carlos Shannon, Benton Black and Jerry Smith.

Memorial may be made to The Heart Fund, The Diabetes Fund or the American Cancer Society.
