Funeral Service for Mr. Paul Dick, age 79 of Ashland, will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at First Methodist Church of Ashland with Rev. Brad Kimble, Rev. Angela Martin and Eddie Grice officiating. Burial will follow at Clay County Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Paul Dick passed away on March 24, 2024. He was born on January 10, 1945 in Ashland, Alabama. He graduated from Auburn University and received a master’s degree from Montevallo. He had a 30 year career in education as a teacher, coach, and administrator. He enjoyed being a part of the 6th District Principal’s Association where he served one term as president.
Coach, as he was fondly known, was fun-loving and generous. He loved his Lord, his family, and his friends. Some of his favorite things were fishing, playing with his granddaughters, and most of all spending time with his wife.
Mr. Dick is survived by his wife, Mrs. Amelia Dick of Ashland; daughter, Allison Harris (Jason) of Marietta, GA.; two grandchildren, Caroline Harris, and Amelia Harris; two sisters, Agnes Grice of Columbiana, and Marvena Hammond of Auburn.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents, William Herbert and Bonnie Dick; and one brother, Jack Dick.
Pallbearers will be Jason Harris, Jay Dick, Eddie Grice, Michael Dick, Eric Smith, and Chris Grice.
Visitation for Mr. Dick will be on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 from 12:30-2:00 P.M. at First Methodist Church of Ashland.
