Paul Allan Ballanger, 85, of Trussville, Alabama, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. A man of faith, dedication, and many talents, Paul leaves behind a legacy of hard work, service, and music that will be cherished for generations.

 

Paul was a successful CPA in private practice for the majority of his career, earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike for his integrity and expertise. Beyond his professional achievements, he was a passionate community leader who served as president of the Civitan Club of Trussville, contributing tirelessly to the betterment of his beloved hometown.

 

An avid runner, Paul embraced the challenge of long-distance running and proudly competed in both the Boston and New York marathons, among others. His commitment to the sport exemplified his determination and zest for life.

Paul’s faith was central to his life. A dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Trussville, he joyfully sang in the choir, lifting his voice in praise and sharing his love of music with his church family. As a talented musician, Paul’s passion extended beyond performance; he owned and operated a music publishing company, “Ruler Music,” through which he shared his creative gifts with the world.

 

Paul is survived by his devoted wife of many years, Mary, who stood by his side as his unwavering partner in life. He is also survived by his beloved children; daughter Jill and her husband Cameron; daughter Mary Scott; son Craig and his wife Laura and grandchildren, Jacob and Mary Scott Clark.

 

A celebration of Paul’s life will be held at First Baptist Church of Trussville at a date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Civitan Club of Trussville or the music ministry at First Baptist Church of Trussville.
