Born on October 4, 1943, in Los Angeles, CA, Paul led a life defined by service, integrity, and love for his family. Paul proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, where he was honorably discharged as a staff sergeant. Following his military service, he continued his commitment to protecting others as a police officer in Carlsbad, CA, where he served with distinction until his retirement.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Childers and Orionna Mattfield, and his brothers, Jerry Childers and Wesley Naas. He is survived by his devoted wife, Cathe Poe-Childers; his daughters, Dawn Michelle Childers and Tonya Childers Danielly; his stepson, Camron Leuschel; and his stepdaughter, Joanna Miller. He also leaves behind eight cherished grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and his brothers, Don Childers, Glen Childers, and Robert Childers.
A man of quiet strength and unwavering dedication, Paul will be remembered for his kindness, loyalty, and deep love for his family and community.
A service to celebrate and honor the life of Paul Childers will be held at a future date at Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Oceanside, CA.
