Patty Schrimsher, 87, of Athens, AL, passed away on Thursday, January 25th, 2024. She was born on April 30th, 1936, in Limestone County, AL, to Franklin E. and Mary S. (Sowell) Thomas.
She is survived by her children her son Keith Schrimsher of Athens, AL; daughter Pam Besherse (Mark) of Ardmore, TN; grandchildren Bronson Schrimsher of Athens, AL, Roman Schrimsher of Athens, AL, Lindsey Sherrill (Justin) of Anderson, AL, Katie Schrimsher of Athens, AL, Sarah Beth Besherse of Florence, AL, and Kimberly Besherse of Ardmore, TN; great-grandchildren Josie Sherrill, Tinley Sherrill, Ruger Sherrill, Anna Sherrill, and Pippa Schrimsher; brothers Charles Phillip Thomas (Jeanne Ann) of Denver, CO, and Sam Thomas (Pon) of Denver, CO; and brother-in-law Jerry Schrimsher (Helen) of Athens, AL.
Mrs. Schrimsher is preceded in death by her parents Franklin and Mary Thomas; husband Morris Schrimsher; and brother John Franklin Thomas.
Funeral services for Mrs. Schrimsher will be Monday, January 29th, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Justin Moore and Barry Tucker officiating. Visitation will be Monday, January 29th, from 12:00-2:15 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bronson Schrimsher, Roman Schrimsher, Justin Sherrill, David Bowman, David Rodriguez, David Ezell, Perry Scott, and Bill Bullington.
Mrs. Schrimsher was a member of Central Church of Christ. She enjoyed reading, antique shopping, and spending time with family.
