Bill Taylor of Muscle Shoals announces the passing of his wife of 51 years, Patsy Ruth McGhee Taylor, on Monday, February 16th, 2015. Patsy was born in Blytheville, Arkansas on March 28th, 1938. Patsy and Bill lived in Arkansas and brought up their family there until moving to Alabama in 1997. She is survived by her husband Bill and their children, Vanessa Taylor Pruett and her husband Phillip Pruett of Springville, Alabama, Tim Taylor and his wife Kathy Taylor of Dexter, Missouri, Michael Joe Taylor of Muscle Shoals, Alabama and Mark Taylor of Birmingham, Alabama and their respective families including four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Grandchildren include Elizabeth Yost and her husband Chris of San Antonio, Texas, Jenny Wiltfong and her husband Josh of Camdenton, Missouri, Lauren Johnson Wright and her husband Brandon of Starkville, Mississippi, and Taylor Johnson of Auburn, Alabama.
She was the last surviving child of Mr. and Mrs. Henry McGhee of Blytheville, Arkansas. Patsy was one of seven children.
Her service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Russellville, Alabama on Saturday, February 21st, 2015 at 1 P.M . In lieu of flowers, the family asks you give to make a donation to your church or most loved organization in Patsy’s honor.
