Logo Icon Patsy Rena Cribbs Wilbanks, age 68, departed this earthly life on Friday night, August 14, 2026, at Diversicare Nursing Home in Ripley, Mississippi.

Mrs. Patsy will be cremated, and no services are scheduled at this time. Her family appreciates the thoughts and prayers of friends and loved ones during this time.

Born May 31, 1958, Mrs. Patsy was the daughter of the late James Edward Cribbs and Martha Akins Hall. She received her education at Ripley High School and, earlier in life, worked as a seamstress in the garment industry.

In true Mrs. Patsy fashion, she lived life on her own terms and was never one to sit still for very long. Outgoing and always on the go, she enjoyed being near the water, coloring, spending time with friends, and simply getting out and doing something. She had a personality all her own and approached life in much the same way.

Like each of us, Mrs. Patsy’s journey was not without its struggles and challenges, but beneath it all was a good heart and a spirit that those who knew her will remember. Her life was uniquely her own, and her passing leaves an absence in the lives of the family and friends who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Mrs. Patsy’s memory include her daughter, Kristy Luter (Antonio); her son, Brian Wilbanks (Amanda); six grandchildren, Jasmine Metcalf, Steven Metcalf, Ariyanna Metcalf, Aniya Metcalf, Logan Wilbanks (Megan), and Cole Wilbanks (Amber); six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Kathy Clemmer (Danny) and Belinda Carter (Trent); along with extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Autry Wilbanks, her previous partner, William “Bud” Ratlif; one sister, Shelia Barkley; and one great-grandson, Bentley.

The Ripley Funeral Home invites you to share memories with Mrs. Patsy’s family.
