Patsy Lee Wilkes Thompson, age 69, of Florence passed away Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013.
Visitation will be today from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.. at Spry~Williams Funeral Home, Florence, The service will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Bro. Ken Delano and sister- in- law Becky Wilkes officiating.
The burial will be at Stony Point Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be nephews, Keith Jennings, Gary Jennings, Jeff Wilkes, Kevin Wilkes, Anthony Wilkes, Nathan Wilkes. Honorary bearers will be her Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Kimberly Ann; parents, Elting and Agnes Wilkes; brother, Edwin Faye Wilkes;special friend and co-worker Brenda Jackson.
She was a member of Cross Point Church of Christ, and was employed by Walmart 0766 of Florence. She enjoyed traveling with her special friend, Betty Tatum.
Survivors include daughter, Kathy Lynn Gifford (Rodney) of Florence; son, Brian Lee Thompson (Robin) of Florence; three precious grandsons, Jacob and Jesse Gifford and Brett Thompson; one precious granddaughter, Peyton Thompson. They were the light of her life; sister, Ann Jennings ( Dewitt) of Savannah, Tenn.; brothers, Jimmy Wilkes (Becky) of Savannah, Tenn; Joe Wilkes (Dawn) of Humboldt, Tenn.; nephews Gary and Kevin Jennings, and Jeff, Kevin, Anthony and Nathan Wilkes; special niece, Nichole Wilkes Blackmon; special adopted daughters in-law, Debra G. Herlihy and Dale Gifford.
Memorials may be made to, Cross Point Church building fund or to St Jude Hospital.
