Mrs. Patsy Lea Yancey, age 81, of Union Grove the Morgan City area, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at her residence.
Mrs. Yancey was born on May 9, 1938 in Texas to Frank Davis and Beulah McCray Davis. Her hobbies included cooking, gardening and tending to flowers. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Yancey was a devoted church member at Brindlee Mtn Baptist Church.
Mrs. Yancey is survived by her husband of 62 years, Griff A. Yancey, Jr.; son, Terry H. Yancey; daughter, Candra G. Yancey; grandchildren, Phillip Rice (Brook), Alan Yancey, Rachael Aufdemorte (Blake); 4 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister, Frances Hall.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Brindlee Mtn Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Robby Boyd officiating. Burial will be in the Union Grove Cemetery in Morgan County with Brindlee Mtn Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Brindlee Mtn Chapel Funeral Home.
