Patsy Bailey Stanley, 86, passed away on April 25, 2025. There will be a graveside service at 11a.m. at Tharptown Cemetery on Monday, April 28th, with Alan Compton and Chip Martin officiating and Pinkard Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers will be Greg Lane, Glen Kiel, John Tarascou, Ryan Smith, Pete Smith, Lynn Lane, and Terry Stockton.
Patsy was a beloved member of Tharptown Baptist Church. She was voted Friendliest while in high school at Shades Valley High School in Birmingham, AL. She never met a stranger and loved to talk to everyone. She retired from the Franklin County Farm Service Agency with U.S. Department of Agriculture in 1997.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, James Walker Stanley; parents, Charles & Lavada (Duck) Bailey; three brothers, Warner Bailey, Charles Mason Bailey, and Dewey Bailey; three sisters, Lorraine (Jo) Dunn, Martha Taylor, and Mary Bailey; daughter, Lisa Stanley. She is survived by her children, Sheila Leyde (Robert), and Michael Stanley; grandchildren, Heather Leyde, Courtney Osborn (Zak), Truman Stanley; and great-grandchildren, Oliver Osborn. and Evelyn Osborn.
