Patrick Adolphus Waldrop age 85 of Athens passed away Monday August 4, 2025 at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home in Killen. Mr. Waldrop was born December 19, 1939 in Tidmore, Alabama. He was a graduate of Auburn University and was retired from the agriculture industry. Mr. Waldrop was a member of 1st Methodist Church, Athens. Survivors include his Son, Mitch (Sally) Waldrop of Gadsen. Daughter, Mindy (Mark) Jackson of Athens. Daughter In Law, Dana Waldrop of Athens. Kevin Vandeberg of Madison . Grandchildren, Dan (Kristen) Waldrop. Emily (Emerson) Simmons, Zeke Jackson, Zoe (Price) McGinnis, Annie (Scot) Hill, Maddie Waldrop, Luke Waldrop, Grey Vandeberg and Max Vandeberg. Great Grandchildren, Tripp McGinnis, Jackson Banks McGinnis, Haley Kate Hill, Harper Hill and Murphy Glenn Waldrop. Sister, Martha Pullen of Gadsden. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Pat & Rena Waldrop. Wife, Hilda Waldrop. Son, Scott Waldrop. Daughter, Jinny Vandeberg and Sister, Mary Ruth Downey. Memorial service will be 12 noon Saturday at First Methodist Church, Athens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Memorial donations may be made to, Boys and Girls Club, Athens Beautification Board or your favorite charity.
