Patricia ‘Pat’ McCrory, 79, of Huntsville, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2023. Pat was born on October 31, 1943, in Albertville, AL to John T. and Jannie Harris. After 27 years in mortgage banking, she retired and started working in her true passion of helping the elderly and ministering to First United Methodist Church members as a Stephens Minister. She served on the Board of Directors at the Madison County Senior Center and served as a Silver-Haired Legislator traveling to Montgomery to advocate and affect legislation for the elderly.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Joe McCrory; her parents; her brother, Olen Harris; and sisters, Alcerie Milberger, Loviee Gray, Sue Brown, and Charlotte Armstrong. She is survived by her daughter, Angela Shirley (Jeff); brother, Charles Harris (Faye); sister, Clara Goode (Mike); 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and 23 nieces and nephews; as well as, long-time companion Bill Goode.
Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 18, 2023, at First United Methodist Church. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. at Memory Hill Cemetery, Albertville, AL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church.
