PatriciaPatricia Mary Vincent Jensen, of Florence, passed away April 4, 2013, at the age of 60 in St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham, after a brave struggle with a prolonged illness.
Patricia “Tricia” Mary Vincent Jensen was born June 27, 1952, in New London, Conn. Tricia attended St. Bernard’s High School, graduating in 1970. She graduated from St. Francis Nursing School in 1973, where she was the president of her class and would always proudly say that she knew all her classmates’ names by the second day of school.

She moved to Redondo Beach and worked as an ER nurse at Harbor General Hospital in Torrance, Calif., where she met her husband, Dr. Peter Jensen. Anybody who has ever met Tricia would tell you she had the world’s biggest heart and always thought of others first, especially her children. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and a friend until the end.
Tricia is predeceased by her mother, Patricia Flaherty Vincent, and her two sisters, Diane Vincent Caulfield and Joan Vincent Woodworth.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Peter Jensen; son, Peter Jensen Jr.; daughter, Megan Jensen; father, Harold Vincent, of Pawcatuck, Conn.; her brothers, Jim (Mary Ellen), of North Branford, Conn., and Peter (Denice), of Norwich, Conn.; 25 nieces and nephews.
