Patricia Lynn “Patsy” Washer, age 70, of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Morningside of Springfield. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be conducted at 1pm Saturday, January 10th, in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Bro. Joe Rushing and Bro. Barry Throneberry officiating.
The family will receive friends from 11am to 1pm Saturday at the funeral home.
Ms. Washer was born January 24, 1955, in Springfield, to the late William Joseph Wieger and the late Sylvia LaVergne McCroy Wieger. She was a retired Retail Specialist with the U.S. Postal Service. Ms. Washer was the most wonderful human being, loved everyone and everybody loved her. She lived to help other people.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Washer was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Woody; and a sister, Debbie Huffine.
She is survived by her son, Jeremy Washer; 3 grandchildren, Braden Poole, Kailey Woody and Clay Woody; 2 great grandchildren, Wesley Eidson and Brooklynn Sensing; and sisters, Laurel (Bruce) Head, Carol (Burt) Castleman and Cindy Thompson.
Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of these arrangements.
