In Loving Memory of Patricia “Lee” Schroyer
Patricia Lee “Lee” Schroyer, 78, a devoted wife, mother, sister, and aunt, passed away
on February 22, 2026, in Athens, Alabama. Born and raised in Maryland, Lee carried
the warmth of her home state with her throughout her life, sharing kindness, steadiness,
and a gentle spirit with everyone who knew her.
She was the beloved wife of Floyd Schroyer and the loving mother of Sheri Gant and
son-in-law Jerry Gant. Lee was a cherished sister to Marie Cavey and to Phyllis Cole,
who preceded her in death. Her family was her greatest joy, and she dedicated her life
to their comfort, happiness, and wellbeing.
Lee spent her entire career as a dedicated federal agency employee, serving with
loyalty, professionalism, and pride. Outside of work, she found joy in the simple
pleasures that brought her peace—reading, tending to her garden, and caring for the
cats she adored. Her home was a place of warmth, patience, and quiet love.
She will be remembered for her devotion, her gentle heart, and the quiet strength she
brought to those around her. Lee leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and the
many small acts of care that defined her life.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace within the
embrace of our Heavenly Father.
