Patricia Hopkins

Patricia Hopkins, 71, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born December 9, 1953 to the late William Joe Waters and the late Dolly Faye West Waters. Patricia spent many years working as a programmer at Motorola, where she demonstrated dedication and technical skill. Later in life, she followed her passion for food and hospitality by owning and operating two restaurants—Sunrise Café and Ma’s Kitchen. Patricia deeply enjoyed cooking and treasured the time she spent with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jerry Hopkins of Red Bay, AL; sons, Kelly Hopkins of Jenkintown, PA, and Joshua Hopkins of Mantachie; 14 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brothers, Timothy Waters of Mantachie, and Donny Waters of Naples, Fl.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Anthony Jerome Hopkins; sisters, Margaret Rogers, and Theresa Patterson, and a brother, Billy Waters.
