The funeral service for Patricia Hill Nelson, age 71 of Bonifay, Florida, will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Bro. David Holcombe officiating. Burial will follow in the Dingler’s Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Nelson passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the Bonifay Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center. She was a native of Clay County, a Lineville High School graduate and attended Southern Union Community College for two years. Mrs. Nelson worked for Higgins Slacks for over 20 years and Clay County Home Health for over ten years. She lived in Auburn and was an assistant manager for Honey Baked Ham and had also lived in Heflin and Dothan before finally moving to Florida. She was a member of Dingler’s Chapel Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Misty Leigh Nelson of Dothan; two sons: Shane Nelson (April) of Dothan and Todd Hill of Auburn; one brother, Charles Hill (Jane) of Lineville and two grandchildren: Charley Nelson and Olley Nelson.
Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by her parents: Samuel Frank Hill and Hettie Mann Hill; her husband, Freddie Nelson and one brother, Billie F. Hill.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
