Patricia Davisson Smith went to be with the Lord on April 21, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Thomas A. Smith, her father, Henry A. Davisson, her mother, Orine Clark Davisson, and sisters Barbara Tosh and Elizabeth Archibald.
She is survived by her daughter, Laura Smith Gossett; son-in-law, Chris Gossett; grandsons, Eric Gossett, (Caitlin), and Jacob Gossett; great-grandson, Oliver Gossett, of Birmingham, Alabama; niece, Deborah Archibald of Memphis, Tennessee; and sister, Mary Garland Jackson (Rex Hauser) of Mason, Michigan.
Pat was born in Memphis Tennessee on May 20,1931. She graduated from Tech High School. She wed Tom Smith in 1950 and they made their home in Huntsville, Alabama. She was a dedicated member of First United Methodist Church. Pat served as a Gray Lady at Huntsville Hospital, was a member of the Huntsville Literary Society, and a member of the Rotaryann Club. She loved her family well with her generous spirit. Pat was a friend to everyone she met, and she will be greatly missed.
A graveside service for immediate family will be held on Friday, April 24.
