Patricia Crowe, age 71, of Decatur, went home to be with her Lord Jesus on Sunday, August 31, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Decatur on October 10, 1942, to Woodrow D. Smith and Ollie Mae Stroup Smith. Patsy will be remembered by many for her years of management in the local restaurant industry.

With a true passion for learning many different things throughout her life, some of her hobbies included cooking, reading, hunting, sewing, and painting. While having to overcome her own physical disability over the last few years of her life, Patsy would always encourage others to overcome any challenges that they too may face. She was an active member of the Wesley Acres Sunday school class.

Ms. Crowe was preceded in death by her father, Woodrow D. Smith, her mother, Ollie Mae Reynolds, two sisters, Jackie Wallace and Lynn Wilkes, and one niece, Amber Smith.

She is survived by two brothers, William M. “Sonny” Smith (Eva) of Prospect, TN, and Johnny Lott (Susan) of Decatur; a special friend, Bill Nichols of Somerville; four nephews, David B. Smith of Prospect, TN, Michael Lott (Catie) of Chattanooga, TN, Dennis Johnson of Gulport, MS, and Joey Davis of Wetumpka; four nieces, Connie Plemons (Mike) of Hartselle, Debbie Green (Johnny) of Decatur, Kellye Riggs of Ardmore, TN, and Tanya Swindle of Birmingham; and 11 greatnephews and -nieces.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Decatur Morgan Hospital for their special care.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
