Patricia Ann Freeman, age 84 of Huntsville, AL passed away peacefully on Saturday December 13, 2025. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 62 years John Darrell “Jack” Freeman, her father, William Maher, and her mother, Frances Maher. She is survived by her daughters, Cheri Crysel (spouse, William) and Traci Freeman (spouse, Chris Whitehead); her brother, Mike Maher (spouse, Cindy); and two grandchildren, Caitlin Croak (spouse, Jamie) and McKenzie Corley (spouse, Keegan).
Pat was born in Two Harbors, Minnesota in 1941. After attending elementary and middle school there, she then graduated from Two Harbors High School. She continued her education with a bachelor’s degree in music from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
Excellence and mastery marked her professional career in successful performances across the country in various symphony orchestras as a cello player and teacher.
Pat lived a full life as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and colleague. Her work ethic, integrity and standards of excellence were admired by those who knew her.
Visitation will be from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 13550 Chaney Thompson Road, Huntsville, AL, 35803. The service will immediately follow with Father Tim Pfander officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.
