Patricia Cole Long Obituary

Ms. Patricia Ann Cole Long was born April 28, 1944 in Wayne County, TN to her parents the late Mr. Roy Franklin Cole and Mrs. Mary Ann Pulley Cole. Ms. Patricia spent her adolescent and formative years in the Waynesboro area, attending school and graduating high school from Wayne County High in Waynesboro and graduating with the class of 1962. After high school, she would seek higher education and earn her License of Practical Nursing, an occupation that she loved and practiced at the Wayne Medical Center with whom she served as a dedicated employee for over 35 years. Later during her retirement years from Wayne Medical Center, she would also work for the Buffalo River Services in Waynesboro for over 10 years. She possessed a love for medicine and the people she encountered giving excellent service to all those in her care. She was a spiritually minded woman as she was a member of the Green River Tabernacle in Waynesboro. In her leisure time she could be found enjoying the outdoors, traveling, spending time on the Tennessee River  at the “Big River Plantation” but most of all spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, friends and dear loved ones. Patricia Ann Cole Long passed from this life on December 07, 2025 at the age of 81 years, 7 months and 9 days.

 

Those left to honor her memory include her son Franklin Eugene Cole and wife Paula of Waynesboro, TN; granddaughters Lauren Ashley Baud and husband Sam of Munster, IN and Annaka Rose Petty of Waynesboro, TN; great grandson Albert Cole baud of Munster, IN; as well as  special niece Pam Hicks and husband Wayne of Waynesboro, TN as well as several other nieces and nephews, family members and friends.

 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings James William Cole, Ella Ruth Flippo, Floyd Hardin Cole, Gilbert Cole and Paul David Cole

 

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday December 09, 2025 at 1:00 pm with Greg Eaton, Donny Clark and N.J. Pope officiating. Burial will follow in the Waynesboro Memorial Gardens.

 

Visitation with the family will begin Monday December 08, 2025 at 5:00 pm till 8:00 pm and again on Tuesday from 10;00 am till service time at 1:00 pm all at the Bates-Love Funeral and Cremation, LLC Chapel in Waynesboro, TN.

 

Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Justin Davidson, Christopher Flippo, Ben Cole, Coridon Staggs, Sam Baud and Justice Bell.

 

Honorary pallbearers include Randy Bevis and Robert Pulley.
