Patricia Ann Armstrong, age 70, resident of Lewisburg, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Williamson Medical Center.
A funeral service to celebrate Patricia’s life will be held on Monday, January 15th, at 3:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Home. The family will be available to receive friends on Sunday, January 14th, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is honored to assist the family during this difficult time.
Patricia, born to the late Buster Ponds and the late Carrie Nell Ponds, was a devoted wife of almost 51 years to Leonard Clayton Armstrong. She was a cherished member of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, where she recently found solace in a re-baptism. Patricia was a beacon of love and generosity, known for her warm personality that never met a stranger. Her selflessness knew no bounds, as she went above and beyond for anyone in need. Most importantly, she held an unwavering love for her children and grandchildren, showering them with daily praises.
Surviving Patricia is her beloved husband, Leonard Clayton Armstrong; daughters, Connie (Ricky) Harris of Chapel Hill and Katherine Armstrong (Brian Anglin) of Franklin; brothers, Kenny Ponds of Savannah, TN, Jeffery Ponds of Lewisburg, TN, and Buster Ponds, Jr. of Savannah, TN; grandchildren, Patrick Dean Armstrong, Hunter (Amanda) Hargrove, Kayla (Christian) Dablaing, Bre’Anna (Gaven) Steagall, Maria (Ben) Chumbley, Hannah Hargrove (Tyler Keeler), and Ethan Willis; and great-grandchildren, Kenzie, Piper, Tristen, Lauren, Payton, Paisley, Riley, Harris, Blair, Zachary, Coley, Stetson, Kayden, and one on the way, Bailey.
Patricia was preceded in death by her son, Tony Ponds; daughter, Loretta Armstrong; and siblings, Carylon Diane Ponds, Dolly Renee Franks, and James Charles “Charlie” Ponds.
The pallbearers for Patricia’s final journey will be Ricky Harris, Brian Anglin, Patrick Armstrong, Jeffery Ponds, Hunter Hargrove, and Billy Armstrong.
