MUSCLE SHOALS-The Muscle Shoals Career Academy has a program that gives junior and seniors an opportunity to engage in paid internships with companies across the Shoals that have partnered with the Academy.
The program, Pathfinder Alabama was started By Gary Dan Williams to give high schoolers the chance to obtain real-time experience in their chosen fields. At this time just the school has 13 students engaged in the program. Six local companies are enrolled in the program giving the students paid internships and the opportunity to get experience in the workplace.
Gary Dan Williams, Career and Technical Director of the Academy said the Pathfinder Alabama program is reserved for the best student in each program. William’s vision for the growth of Pathfinder Alabama is to have this program in every high school in Alabama.
