Pat Sutton of Albertville passed away Sunday, July 5, 2020, at Marshall Medical Center South of complications of COVID-19. She was 63. She’d been in the hospital for 11 days.
She was a former employee of The Advertiser-Gleam and had also worked at 96.9 Radio. She was a graduate of Douglas High School and the University of Alabama in Huntsville. She had worked most recently at Crystal Clear Pools in Albertville. She had a degree in business with a concentration in accounting.
She was very involved in the ministries of Solid Rock Church in Albertville. She was the church clerk, ladies Sunday School teacher, and a member of the choir.
She loved to read and if she had spare time, you would usually find her with a book in her hand.
She loved crossword puzzles, board games, and spending time with her family and friends.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Happy Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Tony Myrick will officiate. Pallbearers will be Derrick Willingham, Phillip Willingham, Jesse Beavers, Eddie Martin, Eren Martin and Jathan Martin.
She is survived by a daughter, Jessica Sutton; 2 sisters, Linda Lyle and Judy Martin; a niece, Kristen Beavers; and nephews, Derrick Willingham and Blake Willingham.
Her parents, Billy Lyle and Martha Lyle; a brother, Tommy Lyle; and a sister, Laura Willingham, preceded her in death.
