Funeral Services for Mrs. Pat Jenkins, age 82 of Lineville, will be Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Concord Baptist Church at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Mark Kytan and Rev. Pat Hurst officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Jenkins passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at the Lineville Health and Rehab. Born in Calhoun County, she has spent most of her life living in Clay County. She worked most of her life working as a CAN at the Clay County Hospital for over 50 years. She also worked as an office clerk towards the end of her work career. Mrs. Jenkins had a hand in raising not only her children, but everyone else’s children. Her family remembers fondly of a time when her house was always full of people, where extended family and friends would just stop in for breakfast and spend time with “Granny Pat”. She loved taking care of everyone, often sewing and making clothes for her children, and even her children’s dolls. Everyone knew her as “Granny Pat”, and she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Jenkins was a member of Concord Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Jenkins is survived by her two daughters: Melinda Denson (Kenneth) and Aimee Hanner (Kennan); one son, Mark Jenkins (Susie), all of Lineville; 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and a large extended family.
She is preceded in death by her parents: William Bert Pettus and Pauline Francis McCartney Pettus; her husband, Harold Jenkins; and one son, Keith Jenkins.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Jenkins, Michael Jenkins, R.J. Clark, Austin Hanner, Zach Burton, and Josh Seals.
Her visitation will take place on Monday, July 12, 2021 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Monday from 8:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. Flowers are accepted, or donations can be made to the Clay County Rescue Squad, 453 Taylor Road, Lineville AL, 36266.
