It is with great sadness that the family of “Mr. Pat” Folsom announces his passing. Pat was born December 22, 1935, in New Brockton, Alabama. Pat was a longtime resident of Huntsville and member of Willowbrook Baptist Church.
Pat was a graduate of Troy State University. He spent many years programing computers for the space and defense industry. Pat rarely met a stranger. One of his greatest joys was teaching the preschool children of Willowbrook on Sundays. But his greatest joy was his daughters and granddaughter, Haley.
Pat was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Linda Sue, and his parents, Wade and Lee Folsom. He is survived by his two daughters, Michelle McGough (David) and Kimberly Folsom; his sisters, Linda Ottsen (Henning) and Dianne Morgan; granddaughter, Haley McGough; and 16 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 4 at Willowbrook Baptist Church. The service will follow at the church at 11:30 with Mark Smith officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Campground Cemetery.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Jenny, Alice, Sarita, Rita, Mildred, Yulanda, and Mildred for your loving care for Mr. Pat. Many thanks to the staff at Pathways, Hospice of North Alabama, Hospice of Alabama and Kendra Rodgers. You made his last days as comfortable as possible.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, Alzheimer’s Association, or Willowbrook Baptist Church.
