Pamela Maria McIntyre Smith, 69, of Collierville

Ms. Smith passed from this life on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at her home in Collierville.

Born in Cincinnati, OH, she grew up in Middleton and always considered it home. She had also lived in Blacksburg, VA, Rome, GA and Jackson, MS. She had lived the last 3 years in Shelby County.

Her parents were the late Tommy and Clois Bodiford McIntyre. She was raised by her maternal grandparents, the late Margie and Arnold Bodiford.

Ms. Smith was a 1966 graduate of Middleton High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Memphis in 1970. A faithful Christian and diligent student of the Bible, she was a member of the FHU Associates and the Murfreesboro (TN) Women’s Club. Her family describes her as a loving mother and “Grammi”.

Survivors include her daughter, Emma Smith (Jonathan Albright) of Memphis; her son, Micah Smith (Amy) of Henderson; four grandchildren, Ella, Jonah, Lydia and Nora; and three half-siblings, Paige Vilseck of Drummonds, TN, Teresa Skelton of Naples, FL, Sue Sasseen of Memphis, TN, and John Minor of Memphis, TN.

In addition to her parents and grandparents, she was preceded in death by special friend, Joel Sasser of Middleton.

Memorials may be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice.
