Logo IconPamela Jean Fulmer Ellis entered into eternity on March 17, 2026 after an extended illness. Pam was born on July 5, 1952 to the late Orlan Brooks Fulmer, Sr. and Rosie Guthrie Fulmer. Pam graduated from Central High School in Florence in 1970 and attended Calhoun Junior College. On February 6, 1971, she married the love of her life, Ronnie Ellis, celebrating 54 years of marriage before her passing. She worked in the textile industry at the Lexington Cotton Gin, Genesco, and Tee Jays. Pam was of the Baptist faith and a longtime member of First Baptist Church Green Hill. Pam was an active member of the Southern Cruisers Riding Club, Northwest Alabama Chapter 188. She found great joy in fellowship, adventure, and the open road on her red Spyder Can-Am. She was also a passionate supporter and fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. More than anything, Pam cherished her family. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud “Nana,” a role she embraced with great joy. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Dale Ellis; her sons, Rev. Chad Ellis (Sheri) and Justin Ellis (Serra); and her beloved grandchildren, Maddie Lockmiller (Kirk), Timothy Ellis, and Haley Creel. She is also survived by her brother, Gary Fulmer; her sister, Drusilla Ross; and several nieces and nephews, including Veronica Metcalf (Durrell), Nathan Fulmer, and Tyler Fulmer (Maggie). She loved her many grandnieces and nephews. In the later years of her life, Pam was blessed by neighbors who became family and gave her the opportunity to be “Nana” once again: Tai, Nga, Mai, Vu, and Dan Pham, who brought her immense joy. Pam leaves behind numerous friends—many of whom became like family over the years. She was known for her warm laughter, adventurous spirit, and her remarkable ability to turn strangers into friends, and friends into family. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Greenview Memorial Chapel at 2:00 PM. The family will receive guests from 12:00 noon until the service begins. Patrick Woods, chaplain of the Southern Cruisers Riding Club, will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Dwight Borden, Dale Cooper, Lonnie Creasy, Timothy Ellis, Nathan Fulmer, Tyler Fulmer, Kirk Lockmiller, Tai Pham, and Kobe Ross. Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Southern Cruisers Riding Club. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. A memorial fund honoring Pam can be found at https://fundraising.stjude.org/goto/pamellis.
