Mrs. Ozell LittleOzell Little went to be with Jesus on Saturday, June 28th, surrounded by her family and friends. She was reunited with her husband of 65 years, Billy Little. Ozell was a loving mother to her two daughters; she was a devoted Granny Red to her grandchildren, and later she was an adoring GiGi to her great and great-great grandchildren. She was affectionately known as Granny Red by her church family at Living Word Ministries where she served the Lord in various ways over the years. Ozell had a special ministry to children from divorced families and broken homes, she also served as a greeter, and at one time prepared many fellowship breakfasts for the congregation. Ozell was always busy gardening; fixing her clients’ hair; taking care of her cat, Sissy; and encouraging her family, her church family, and her salon clients no matter what they were facing. She loved to travel and spend time with people. She was blessing to her family and all who knew her.

Ozell had a special knack for making things beautiful. She served her clients as a hair dresser for 60 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed all things that pertained to gardening. She had flower beds and vegetable gardens and was happiest when she was digging in the dirt, taking care of her flowers, or harvesting her crops. You could ask her how to grow anything and she could give you pointers. She also gave the best hugs. She made sure everyone knew she loved them and that Jesus loved them. She loved to share with others and was beloved by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Rev. Johnny) Johnson, and Vickie (Bill) Hastings; grandkids, Jodi Johnson, Jason (Jamie) Johnson, Josh (Amy) Hastings, Chris (Courtney) Hastings; 12 great grandkids and 7 great – great grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Little; parents, Delbert Fowler; mother, Cora Jackson; special grandmother, Minnie Cosby; Brothers, Michael Jackson and John Jackson.

Pallbearers will be: Hunter Johnson, Cole Johnson, Elijah Johnson, Levi Justice, Luke Justice, Harley Hastings, Jett Johnson and Will Hastings.

Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at the Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Johnny Johnson officiating. Burial following at Paint Rock Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, June 30, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel.
