Otis Kyle Stewart, age 84, of Florence, passed away Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 3, from noon until 2 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Greg Burnett officiating. Entombment will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Gregory Dain Stewart, Andrew Nelson, Austin Nelson, Connor Nelson, Jason Heathcock, and Scott Renn. Honorary pallbearer is Jim Delaney.
He was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church of Florence and was retired from Reynolds Alloys.
Preceding him in death are his wife, Julia Ann Davis Stewart; and step-son, Rick Barrier.
Survivors are his wife, Opal Barrier Stewart; children, Carl Reece Stewart (Sharon), Rita Ann Heathcock (Gary), Robin Kyle Stewart (Valerie), and Regina Lynn Nelson (Steve); stepchildren, Donnie Barrier (Sheila), Shelby Hanback (Lee), Jack Barrier (Bobbi), and Tennis Barrier (Kim); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A special thanks to second wing nurses and staff at Mitchell-Hollingsworth for their care. In-lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John’s United Methodist Church of Florence
