Mr. Otis Hampton, 81 of the Skymont Community Passed away at his home Friday April 17, 2015 with his family near. He attended the Altamont Church of Christ and was a heavy equipment mechanic. He was born in Guntersville, AL on May 10, 1933 to Eugene and Lois Dendy Hampton who preceded him in death along with his son, Russell Hampton; brothers, J.C., L.D. and H.L. Hampton; grandson, Mark Hampton; great-grand-daughter, Brooke Lynn Hampton.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Thompson Hampton; sons, Mitchel (Rebecca), Mack (Cissy), Tony (Dale) and Parker (Sandra) Hampton; step-children, Carolyn Burdeshaw, James Sharpe, Jill (Ben) Pena and Barbie (Mike) Brannin; brother, James Hampton; sisters, Mamie Barrett, Katherine Hobbs, Betty Jean Meeks and Ola Jo Barrett; 23 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers, Joe Gray and Dal Barrett officiating with burial to follow at the Airview Cemetery. Visitation: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM Monday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
