listenMOULTON-The 16th annual Echota Cherokee Festival will be held on Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29 at Oakville Indian Mounds and Park in Moulton, Alabama.  Gates will open on Saturday at 9:00 am until 5:00 pm with the Grand Entry to start at 11:00 am and Sunday they will open from 9:00 am until 5:00pm with the Grand Entry at 12:00pm.

Copy of Fur and potteryThere will be Indian Artisans, Craftsmen, Story Telling, Dancing,Living History and Demonstrations on both days.  There will also be traditional Indian foods available such as Indian tacos and bread as well as hamburgers and hotdogs and other refreshments as well.

The Host Drum will be Blood, Sweat, and Tears and the EMCEE for the 2 day event will flutebe Ken Dickson and the Arena Director will be Ronnie Berryhill.  The Head Lady is Sheila Coleman Richardson and the Head Man is Allen Lone Wolf Atkins.

The Echota Cherokee Tribe of Alabama is an Alabama State recognized Tribe.  The Indian Arts and Crafts Amendments Act, 2009 is the policy of the Echota Cherokee Festival of 2013.  Be sure and bring your own lawn chairs and blankets for the events and as always there will be plenty of parking and a primitive camp ground is available for vendors and volunteers.
