Oscar O’Neal Skelton, 85 of Dora, passed away Sunday March 2, 2025 at his residence.
Mr. Skelton was a member and Elder at East Walker Church of Christ. He was a retired Electrician from Jim Walter Resources Mines. He was a member of the UMWA.
He was preceded in death by his wife Melinda Skelton and his parents, Oscar and Edna Skelton.
Survivors include his daughter, Michelle Chambers (Tim), son, Matthew Skelton (Morgan); grandchildren, Caleb Chambers (Madison), Carson Chambers (Grace), Luke Skelton and Prestley Skelton; great grandchildren, Rowan, Willow, Melah and Lindey Chambers; brothers, Marlin Skelton (Billie), Ray Skelton and Doug Skelton (Evelyn); sister, Sandra Watson (Robert); several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday March 4, 25 at 7:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Minister Barry Bennett will officiate. Visitation is Tuesday from 5:30-7 pm. Graveside committal service will be Wednesday at 10:00 am in New Horizon Memorial Gardens.
The Deacons and Elders of East Walker Church of Christ will serve as honorary pallbearers.
