Oscar Medley, of Manchester, Tenn., departed this life on May 6, 2013. He was born on May 20, 1928, in Hillsboro, Tenn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Haskel and Beulah Coker Medley; wife, Ernestine Freeze Medley; and son, Roy Dale Medley; brothers, Henry and Willard; and sister, Gladys Gilliam. He is survived by his daughter, Nadara and her husband, Mark Sperry, of Texarkana, Texas; daughter-in-law, Betty Medley, of Summitville, Tenn.; granddaughter, Tricia Medley, of Summitville, Tenn.; grandson, Terry Medley and wife, Tiffany, of Calvert City, Ky.; great-granddaughter, Annaliese; and great-grandson, Riley Dale. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, May 9, 2013, from 3-8 p.m. at Coffee County Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be Friday, May 10, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Coffee County Funeral Chapel with Brother Charles Harris officiating. Per Mr. Medley’s request, a private burial for immediate family only will follow.
