Mr. Oscar Lee Williams departed this life February 14, 2025, at Glenwood Nursing Center, Florence, AL. He was 78 years old.
Oscar Lee “Crow” Williams was born December 1, 1946, to Minnie Lee Dancy and Bill Williams (Mr. Fast Black) in Shuqualak, Mississippi.
After his mother, Minnie Lee passed at the age of 32, he was taken care of by his older sister Mrs. Josie Mary Williams Perkins. Oscar was the youngest of five children:Vera Hyde, Booker T. Hyde, Josie Williams, William “Bill” Williams. He was known as “mommas’ baby”.
Oscar accepted Christ at an early age, and re dedicated his life to Christ at First Baptist M.B. Church in Sheffield, AL. before his older sister Mrs. Josie Mary Williams Perkins passed away in 2017.
Oscar was a graduate from Sterling High school in Sheffield, AL. Class of 1965.

He was the minister of defense in the Black Panther Party in Lima, OH.
Oscar was a very smart and intelligent man, who attended many schools to further his education.
Oscar was very athletic. He was inducted into the Sterling High school Sports Hall of Fame for basketball and football in 2024.
Preceding him in death is mother Minnie Lee Williams, His father Bill Williams (Mr. Fast Black), his oldest brother Booker T. Hyde, his oldest sister Vera Hyde Knox, his brother William “Bill” Williams, his sister Mrs. Josie Mary Williams Perkins, and his daughter Bridgett Williams.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories four loving children, Tanya Jones (Cleveland, Oh.), Janelle Williams (Cincinnati, OH), Shea Williams (Cincinnati, OH), Courtney Owens (Lima, OH.).He is also survived by twelve grandkids and six great-grandkids, and a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends.
