Orville Randolph “Rick” Marcus, age 79, of Sheffield, passed away on August 25, 2026. The graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Oakwood Cemetery in Sheffield. Darin Marcus will speak at the service.
Rick, also known as “O.R.”, proudly served his nation in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War era. He was a retired captain after 37 years with the Sheffield Police Department.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Triffie Annie Marcus; children, Darin Marcus (Tracy), Daniel “Danny” Marcus (Sheree), Amanda Tatum (Brent), Ulanda Marcus; grandchildren, Aiden, Julia, Noah, Coleman, and Caleb Marcus, Kristen Alexander (Trent), Kaylen Tatum; great-grandchildren, David and James Alexander; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Lee & Maggie Marcus; brother, Henry Lee Marcus, Jr., and sister, Patricia Marcus.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
