Oreine Howard Ritter, 91, of Lexington passed from this life Sunday, May 4th, 2014.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 – 8 p.m. at Nebo Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the church with Gary Dan Williams and Terry Herston officiating. Burial will follow in Nebo Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jason Ingram, Jonathan Day, Ryan Howard, Shawn Howard, Bobby Howard and Ray McCain.
She was born March 5th, 1923 to Guston and Willie Morrison Howard. The oldest of three children, she lived her entire life within a quarter mile of where she was born. She was a lifelong member of Nebo Cumberland Presbyterian Church, a 1943 graduate of Lexington High School, a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. Nanny will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
Mrs. Ritter is survived by her husband of 71 years, L.H. “Chick” Ritter; daughter, Barbara (Bobby) Ingram; son, Rickey (Pam) Ritter; grandchildren, Roxy (Jonathan) Day, Jason (Sandy) Ingram, Camille (Gary Dan) Williams and Caroline Ritter; great-grandchildren, Anna Day, Madeline & Matilda Williams and Lake & Link Ingram; sister, Exelene Winters; brother, William Howard and nieces, Betty Bouknight, Pat Gean and Donna Stansell.
