Ora Faye “Bluie” Wadkins, 89, of Iuka, Mississippi, died on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at her residence. Mrs. Bluie was a charter member of Unity Baptist Church and had a heart of gold. She always paid back kindnesses and showed her love and appreciation through her excellent cooking and baking skills. When she wasn’t cooking, she enjoyed gardening and admiring flowers. Mrs. Bluie is survived by her daughters, Vickie Berryman, Dottie Haygood, and Stephanie Thompson (Randy); her sons, Dale Wadkins (Tara) and Michael Wadkins; her grandchildren, Andy Wadkins, Chad Haygood, Steven Berryman, Zach Haygood, Seth Berryman, Allison Wadkins, Thad Wadkins, Landon Wadkins, Josh Wadkins, and Madi Wadkins; and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milford Wadkins; her son, Anthony Wadkins; her parents, Virgie and Herbert Mars; two brothers; four sisters; and her sons-in-law, Bob Berryman and John Haygood. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, officiated by Pastor Chad Haygood. Pallbearers include Josh Wadkins, Landon Wadkins, Andy Wadkins, Zach Haygood, John Andrew Haygood, and Steven Berryman. Honorary pallbearers include Wheeler Brewster and Clint Hairrell. Interment will be in Snowdown Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Mrs. Bluie’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
