Opal Springer – Obituary

Opal Springer, age 87, of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Crockett Hospital after a sudden illness. She was a native of Lauderdale County, Ala., a factory worker for General Motors and for Slant & Slant, a housewife and a member of Calvary Hill Church of God.

Funeral Services will be held at Calvary Hill Church of God on Saturday, July 28, 2012, at 11 a.m. with Brother Donald Goodrum and Brother Jeff Hood officiating. Burial will follow in Richardson Chapel Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 27, 2012, at Loretto Memorial Chapel.

Survivors include husband, Buford Springer, Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; one sister, Mabel Johns, Leoma Tenn.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Zilphia Word Glover; daughter, Barbara Ann Springer; brother, Willard Glover.

Loretto Memorial Chapel is in chare of all arrangements.
