Funeral for Opal Jones, 82, of Hillsboro will be Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Hillsboro Baptist Church, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Tommy Kirby and Rev. Brandon Kerby officiating with Parkway Funeral Home Directing. Burial will be in Penny Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Mrs. Jones, who died Sunday, February 27, 2022, was born, February 28, 1939, to Samual M. Howell and Florence Reynolds Howell. She was a member of Hillsboro Baptist Church and she loved her church members . She enjoyed cross-stitching.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband – John Henry Jones, son – Robert “Robbie” Jones, brothers – Atley Howell, Bobby Howell, Robert Howell, sisters – Sadie Mae Howell, Elvie Rhodes, Hazel Wilson, Norma Proctor, Vilma Howell
Survivors include:
Son – Johnny (Theresa) Jones
Daughter – Stacey Jones
Sister – Minnie Stewart
Grand Children – T. J. (Nicole) Jones, Noel Jones, Leigh Jones
6 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Korby, T. J. Jones, Josh Owens, Joey Letson, Eddie Moses, Mark Winser.
