Oneal Sartin,86, died Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at the Sanctuary Hospice House. He was born May 18, 1929, to Willie and Verdie Walker Sartin. He was owner and operator of Tremont Texaco for many years. He enjoyed farming, and he owned an auction sales barn for many years. He attended Tremont Methodist Church. He was a member of the Tremont Lions Club, served on the Board of Aldermen in Tremont, and was past Fire Chief of Tremont Fire Department.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, August 21, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with the Rev. Smith Lilley, Jr., and Dr. Jeffrey Moore officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Masonic Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Earden Sartin; one son, Donnie Sartin (Nancy); two daughters, Carolyn Brewer (Donnie), all of Tremont, and Sue Satterwhite (Gail) of Detroit, AL; one brother, Billy Sartin (Dean) and one sister, Bobbie Anthony (Dexter), both of Haleyville, AL; one daughter-in-law, Tammi Sartin; eight grandchildren, Lori Thomas (Tony), David Sartin (Courtney), Richie Hamner (Jackie), Deanna Montelongo (Paul), John Brewer (Denise), Misty Mathis (Mark), Shane Satterwhite (Natalie), and Angie Kinder (Toby); 17 great-grandchildren, Whitney and Jesse Thomas; Savannah, Ava, and Jaxton Sartin; Olivia and Nicholas Hamner; Matthew, Aiden, and Gabriel Montelongo; Conner, Chandler, and Marlee Mathis; and Mason, Gracie, Mollie, and Grady Satterwhite.
He was preceded in death by one son, Ronnie Sartin; two brothers, Dennis and Lennis Sartin; one sister, Carolyn Head; and his parents.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 20, at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
