DECATUR-The Decatur Police made a routine traffic stop on Wednesday, March 25th. This how the Decatur Police describe events leading up to the arrest of one suspect:
“SYNOPSIS OF OFFENSE & ARREST:
On March 25, 2015, members of the Decatur Police Department’s Anti-Crime Unit were patrolling in the area of Danville Rd and Stone River SW. Officer Kitchens conducted a traffic stop at that location for a traffic violation (Turn Signal). During the course of the investigation, a back seat passenger of the vehicle was identified as Leslie Marie Cooper.
During further investigation, Cooper was found to be in the possession of a quantity of prescription medication (Controlled Substance) without a valid prescription. Cooper was placed under arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Tampering With Physical Evidence. Cooper was transported to the Decatur City Jail where she was processed in.
Cooper will later be transferred to the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $3,000.00 bond.”
