One Person Dies In Single-Vehicle Accident In Dekalb County

DEKALB COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident in Dekalb County has taken the life of one person:

“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 1:20 a.m. Sunday, November 3, has claimed the life of a Rainsville man.

Joshua B. Dean, 37, was fatally injured when the 2005 Chevrolet Silverado pickup he was driving left the roadway, struck a utility pole and then a tree. Dean was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Alabama 40 near the 18 mile marker, approximately four miles west of Hammondville, in Dekalb County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
