One Person Dies From Injuries Received In Single-Vehicle Accident

JASPER-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident in Walker County has taken the life of one person and sent another person to hospital with injuries:

“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 8:29 p.m. Monday, March 23, has claimed the life of an Empire man.

Ryan L. Muncher, 39, of Empire, was fatally injured when the 2016 Lexus GX460 he was a passenger in, left the roadway, overturned and struck a tree. Ryan L. Muncher was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Lexus, Amanda M. Muncher, 37, of Empire, was injured and transported to the University of Alabama (UAB) Hospital in Birmingham for medical treatment. 

The crash occurred on Campbellville Road near Sipsey Road, approximately seven miles east of Jasper, in Walker County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
