One Man Arrested After High-Speed Police Chase….NOT The Alleged Tuscumbia Shooter

Police-Lights2-300x225TUSCUMBIA-According to Tuscumbia Police Chief Tony Logan the arrest of a suspect in the high-speed chase that took place earlier this evening, Friday, March 4 is NOT the suspect wanted in the Shootings that took place Tuesday night on March 1 outside the Spring Creek Apartments leaving one man dead and another in the hospital.

Earlier in the evening news reports stated the suspect in this high-speed chase was the alleged shooter in the Spring Creek shootings Police Chief  Logan stated that these reports are inaccurate.

One man has been arrested after a chase that started in Alabama and ended in Wayne County, Tennessee.

Law enforcement authorities say the suspect who was driving a stolen car fled the scene when officers tried to approach him a chase ensued.  The suspect attempted to run a police officer off the road during the chase  losing control and crashing his vehicle.

The suspect has been taken to the hospital and the condition of the suspect is unknown at this time.
