One Injured In Hang Gliding Accident Near Florence High School

FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department issued a statement concerning the crash of a motorized hang glider on Monday.  Further information since the statement says one person was injured.  No word on the extent of the injuries:
“On September 25, 2023 the Florence Police Department received a call at approximately 8:00am concerning a suspicious aircraft flying around Florence High School. School resource officers and patrol officers responded to the high school.
At approximately 8:15, we were notified of a medical assist concerning a crash with a hang glider near 4184 Rushton Street. Firefighters, police, and medical personnel were all on scene. The male was alert but was transported by helicopter to receive medical care.
There are no other details available at this time as the person flying was quickly flown to receive medical care.”
