CORDOVA, AL – ALEA (Alabama Law Enforcement Agency) has reported a single-vehicle crash with fatalities on Friday, April 8:
HAMILTON POST – A single-vehicle crash at 7:30 a.m. today, April 8, has claimed the life of a Cordova teen. Blakely Foster, 13, was killed when the 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt in which she was a passenger left the roadway, overturned and struck a tree. Foster, who was not using a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle’s driver, Meleaha Mercedes Micshelle Poe, 19, of Jasper and a juvenile passenger were both transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham. The crash occurred on Buttermilk Road, five miles north of Cordova. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
